Beginner 1-2 Hours

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 1 Lampshade 14"-16" diameter
  • 3 yds of fringe
  • Quick grip glue
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Scissors

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Lay the lampshade on its side on a flat surface.
  2. Measure from the bottom up to where the top of the fringe would be. The fringe is going to be flush at the bottom of the lamp.
  3. Glue the first bottom row of fringe in place.
  4. Measure the fringe in height.
  5. On the remaining lampshade space, divide it equally now that you know the height of the fringe. Make sure each row of fringe overlaps just by approximately 1/8 of an inch.
  6. Now stand the lampshade up and glue the next row to overlap the previous row of fringe and glue in place. Do this for each row until you have reached the top of the lampshade.

CRAFT HACK TIPS & TRICKS:

  • Trim each row in the same place if possible, to make sure that the lampshade only has one seam that will be in the back of the lampshade when it is completed.
