Kochi: Mollywood actress Lena, who surprised the public with her revelation on her marriage, said "Our journey to marriage began with the viral video of my interview."
Speaking about her marriage with the Malayali astronaut who was chosen to fly in India's first human space flight program, Gaganyaan, she disclosed how every conversation or meetup with Prasanth would make them realise they were meant to be together.
"In that interview, I spoke about religion, affinity and topics like mental health," said the actress. She said the video blew the internet and brought trolls, likes and dislikes, but that is when Prasanth entered her life.
"Prasanth contacted me after watching that video. When we got to know each other, we realised we shared the same vibe. Both our family checked our horoscopes and we got to know it matches perfectly," added Lena.
Sharing about why she had kept it private for this long, the actress revealed, "Due to confidentiality, I had to stay mum about Prasanth and my relationship. I was not allowed to share it because of protocols until the Prime Minister reveals the Gaganyaan team. Due to these reasons, Prasanth's parents were the only ones present in the marriage."
Prasanth also shared how amusing it is to look back at how just a YouTube video led them towards marriage. "While I was watching videos on YouTube, I saw Lena's video. I agreed with most of the topics in that interview. When I approached her with this marriage proposal, she was equally happy like me," said the Malayali astronaut.
On that day, Prime Minister Modi announced the names of the four astronauts, and it was then that Lena shared the news of her partner through a social media post. In the post, she disclosed that they had exchanged vows on January 17, 2024, in a ceremony held at the Malleswaram temple in Bengaluru.
