Abstract
Description
Kompostierbare aliphatische Polyesteramide sind bekannt (z. B. EP-A 641 817). Kom postierbare aliphatisch-aromatische Polyesteramide sind ebenfalls beschrieben (WO 92/21689, WO 96/21690, WO 96/21691 und WO 96/21692).Compostable aliphatic polyester amides are known (e.g. EP-A 641 817). Com postable aliphatic-aromatic polyester amides are also described (WO 92/21689, WO 96/21690, WO 96/21691 and WO 96/21692).
These structures are purely statistical and have no structure segmented block structure.
Block-shaped polyester amides are also known. In EP-A 717 064, JP 0 430 6229, JP 0 701 0988 and JP 0 715 7557 are block-like poly esteramides by transesterification / transamidation reactions of higher molecular weight Polyamides with higher molecular weight polyesters described. Such reactions are difficult to reproduce, because the degree of reactions is very dependent on the processing conditions. Such block-like polyester amides are, however not sufficiently biodegradable.
The object of the present invention is block-like segmented polyester amides to provide that are fully biodegradable and enzymatically degradable.
It has been found that acid, ester, hydroxyl or amine-terminated short oligo mers with amide or ester structures with molecular weights below 3000 gentle conditions are reacted with each other so that these segmented structure is retained.

Caprolactam or AH salt are preferred in the synthesis of the polyester amides or mixtures thereof with butanediol and / or diethylene glycol and terephthalic acid (ester) and adipic acid (ester) used.
The short blocks made of amide or ester units are known polymer chemical methods by choosing the monomer composition the monomers. For example, 3 mol of adipic acid and 2 mol of hexamethylene diamine using a polyamide block with a molecular weight of 598 Produce acid end groups.
It is also possible to convert a polyester from 2 mol adipic acid and 3 mol butanediol block with the molecular weight 490. Now put these two blocks with each other in a stoichiometric ratio, you get a block-like structure Polyester amides with short amide and ester segments that promote biodegradation do not bother.
B. ganz verzichtet. In the production of the short blocks or polyester amides you can suitable catalysts for catalysing the esterification or amidation reaction deploy. These include e.g. B. titanium compounds for the esterifications or Phos phosphorus compounds for the amidation reactions. These catalysts correspond the state of the art. But you may not use the dismantle afterwards polymer in compost and must not adversely affect biological ab disrupt buildability. That is why catalysts based on heavy metals such as Antimony or lead e.g. B. completely dispensed with.
The polyester amides produced in this way are completely biodegradable and com postable according to DIN 54 900 and have very good mechanical properties on.
