When doctors, including medical doctors, demanded collective action in protest of the government's increase in medical schools, the patient group complained that "the whale fight is bursting."

On the 15th, six groups related to severe diseases, including the Korea Multiple Myeloma Retreat Association and the Korea Lou Gehrig Federation, urged the government and medical organizations that are confronting the serious patients with the strong river as collateral for their lives, to immediately stop the situation and seek dialogue and solutions.

He pointed out, "The government and medical organizations have shifted the responsibility for patient damage to each other, and no one is showing any effort to ask patients for sincere understanding or minimize the damage."

"The severely ill patients and their families are left anxious as they spend each day in extreme anxiety amid the extreme confrontation between the two sides amid war clouds in the medical field," he said.

It was also mentioned that medical doctors took collective action during the promotion of the number of medical schools in 2020. "The government and medical organizations should take joint responsibility for creating an extreme situation in which only patients will suffer without any agreement or reasonable alternative to the increase in medical schools, even after four years of the organization's launch to resolve pending issues through an agreement at the time," the group claimed.

He added, "In the event of an unsavory situation for severely ill patients in the future, we cannot overlook the irresponsible attitude of not only doctors but also health authorities who have not shown any efforts or willingness to negotiate."
