Celebrity Big Brother has unveiled its first look at the new chair in the Diary Room ahead of the upcoming series.

The show is due to return next week (March 4) for its second series since the ITV relaunch, and they have many fresh ideas for what is overall the 23rd series.

As per the image, the chair now boasts a new colour scheme, with the patterned star to signify the celebrities of the series.

"One of Big Brother's most iconic and recognisable features, the Diary Room Chair has been given a touch of showbiz sparkle as a new batch of famous faces prepare to embark on the ultimate social experiment and become isolated from the outside world," reads the logline.

"Playing host to the show's most intimate and revealing moments, the Diary Room sees housemates communicate directly with Big Brother - discussing the latest antics gripping the house, casting nominations on their fellow housemates and more."

It's not the only tweak to the format for the upcoming series, with hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best revealing that there will now be two live evictions per week, with the latter saying: "It's going to be two evictions a week. We're going to have double the time together.

"We know just from chatting to Housemates how the mood changes during nominations, so nominations and evictions happening more often just cranks up the pressure. It will really mess with their heads."

"Every Friday, on the last series, when we saw each other we were like, 'ahh I've missed you', because a week felt like a lifetime. Now actually we get to see each other midweek too," added Odudu, who also confirmed that Late & Live would air after each episode.

Celebrity Big Brother will premiere on ITV2 and ITVX on March 4.
