Description
Fringed earthstar is an inedible mushroom that can be dried and used for decorative purposes. It shares the distinctive earthstar fungus appearance with skin that folds behind the mushroom to prop the spore sac up from the ground, making a shape reminiscent of a star. It is considered one of the most common mushrooms in Britain but may also be found in the Mediterranean and France.
