People on the move: John Deere; Lasting Impressions Event Group; 24/7 Events; The Toro Co.

John Deere, Moline, Ill.: Jahmy Hindman has been elected senior vice president in addition to his current role as chief technology officer. Hindman has been chief technology officer at Deere since 2020. Mark Von Pentz, president, Worldwide Ag & Turf, Small Ag & Turf, Regions 1 & 2, will continue in his present position until Nov. 1, 2023. At that time, he will become senior advisor, Office of the Chairman, until his anticipated retirement early in 2024. Deanna Kovar, vice president, Production Systems, Production and Precision Ag, will take on additional responsibilities in Small Ag & Turf and will fully transition to the role of president, Worldwide Ag & Turf, Small Ag and Turf, Regions 1 & 2, on Nov. 1, 2023. 

Lasting Impressions Event Group, Columbus, Ohio: Ryan Harmon was recently promoted to director of sales after nearly six years as an account executive with the Cleveland branch. Harmon has more than 14 years of experience in the event industry and currently serves as president of the ILEA (International Live Events Association) Cleveland chapter. In his new role, he is developing and leading his sales team at the Cleveland, Cincinnati and Columbus locations. 

24/7 Events, Los Angeles: Joelyn Caprine has been promoted to general manager at the company’s North Los Angeles operation and will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations while managing a team of 40 employees. Caprine previously held the titles of director of sales and director of operations within the company. Caprine has more than 10 years in the hospitality and event industry and holds certification as a Certified Event Rental Professional (CERP) through the American Rental Association (ARA). Caprine also is a member of ARA’s Event Rental Shared Interest Group.  

The Toro Co., Bloomington, Minn.: Joanna Totsky will join the company as vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary, effective June 19, 2023. She comes to the company from Cooper-Standard Holdings, a global supplier to automotive and industrial companies, where she most recently served as senior vice president, chief legal and transformation officer and secretary. Totsky succeeds Amy Dahl, who was recently named vice president, international with responsibility for leading and refining global enterprise strategies across The Toro Co.’s businesses.
