For a long time, bodybuilding seemed almost passé.
The big bulky bodybuilder stereotype felt outdated, like a relic of the 80s and 90s when Arnold Schwarzenegger and Lou Ferrigno ruled the scene.
Gyms started offering more yoga and Pilates classes, and there was a shift towards lean, functional fitness rather than pure muscle size and definition.
