This is Tamiya's 1/24 scale model kit of the Volkswagen New Beetle. At the 1998 Detroit Auto Show, the updated Volkswagen New Beetle was presented. The New Beetle is founded on its forebearer retaining some of the typical features. Exterior features include circular headlights, a rear fender, a roof, a hood, and rounded taillight lenses. The new model includes a 2 liter 4 cylinder 115 HP gasoline engine and a dual airbag for extra protection. The fully assembled 1/24 scale model is 17.2sm long.
