Creative lab
The Google Creative Lab is a small team that strives to re-think marketing across every kind of media with Google as its sole client. Our job is to manage the Google brand, find new ways to communicate the company’s innovations, intentions and ideals, and producing work that makes our employees, customers, and users proud of the Google brand.
Global communications & public affairs
Calm nerves, clear thoughts, sharp focus, and the ability to keep smiling sincerely as a rush of people simultaneously demand instant satisfaction: these are the traits exhibited by members of our Global Communications and Public Affairs team. We live in a fast, dynamic, sometimes hard-hitting world where no two days are ever the same.
Our job is to present Google, its products, and its positions to audiences that include our users, partners, shareholders, employees, and the media. We’re strategic thinkers with a wellspring of creativity, initiative, and endless curiosity – not to mention grace and poise. We want to redefine conventional wisdom, not just echo it.
Marketing
The Google marketing team is responsible for marketing the company’s exceptional product portfolio to end users, partners, and customers on a worldwide basis. Our approach is to embrace the strength of our products and pace of innovation to drive marketing programs that are as entrepreneurial, data driven, and respectful of our users as Google itself. We have a variety of roles, including product marketing, creative services, event management, quantitative marketing, and field marketing.
Product marketing
The Product Marketing team partners with Engineering, Product Management, and the Sales organization to inform customers and the Sales team about new Google products and features. We conduct extensive market research to better understand and meet our users' needs. Working within our portfolio of consumer products (such as Search, Gmail, Maps, or Earth), we devise plans to make our users happier and increase the usefulness of our products. We use quantitative analysis and other research methods to improve the effectiveness of online marketing and better understand user behavior. Finally, Product Marketing works with our Ads product teams to communicate to advertisers and users how much value they gain from using Google products. As new advertising technologies are introduced to prospective customers, we develop messaging, collateral, events, and sales strategies to ensure their success.
Studio G
The Studio G team consists of video production and operations professionals who harness their creativity to produce a variety of engaging, on-message, "Googley" video communications. We produce these videos for the YouTube audience, and examples include product launches, product demos, branding videos, and executive speeches. Our talented and creative staff share the ideals of Google’s mission, which is to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful.
